Any deejay will tell you for free that making a name for oneself in the entertainment industry has never been a child’s play.

Many have spent years to master the craft and art art of deejay and their efforts eventually paid off.

Y254 TV’s mixx master Joseph Kuria Wanjiru alias DJ Kuch is just but one of the many deejays who are currently enjoying the fruits of their labour after many years of mastering the game.

MGAHAWANI.com has learnt DJ Kuch has been the force to reckon with in the much-competitive deejaying industry.

The entertainer who usually play on Y254 TV’s programme Y-Mashariki has been causing ripples in the entertainment scene with his mastery of music and skillful art of deejaying.

It should be noted that Y-Mashariki is hosted by Kenrelbis and Kalondu Musyimi, but DJ Kuch has been like the icing on the cake.

The star has been in the game for over a decade and has horned his skills by entertaining music lovers in popular clubs, radio and TV stations.

Well, before making his big break on TV, the Nairobi-based deejay used to spin at different clubs and special events.

This came after many years of doing tryouts and testing his skills at friends’ and family’s events.

DJ Kuch’s major breakthrough came in 2012 when he ventured fully into deejaying.

Unlike many deejays, DJ Kuch worked hard to make a name for himself as an open format deejay or versatile mixx master, meaning he could and still can play any music genre.

Prior to his entry into TV and Radio, the disc jockey played the role of a resident deejay at numerous popular bars, clubs n lounges in Nairobi such as Seven D, Hornil Bill, Paris Lounge, Brew Bistro lounges, Black Diamond to name just a few.

To become the star deejay he is today, the deejay also worked with different artistes such as Otile Brown, Kenrazy, Wakali Wao among others.

DJ Kuch confirmed he is good at what he does by making a debut in the media space.

This after scoring radio deejay gigs at different radio station in Kenya such as Q FM, Easy FM, and he is currently working at Y254 TV, which is an affiliate of KBC.

At the National Broadcaster, DJ Kuch thrills fans with hottest mixx on a magazine show dubbed Y-Mashariki.

DJ Kuch also runs his own entertainment company named Back to Back Entertainment, where he provides all kind of entertainer services; from deejaying services and sound system provision for different events to mentoring new generations of deejays through his deejaying academy.
