Gatundu South Member of Parliament, Moses Kuria, has urged fellow MPs from the Mount Kenya region to fight for constituency projects completion before Uhuru resigns.
The MP who seems to be angry at the current government is shocked that despite Mount Kenya being a Jubilee stronghold, only a small fraction of the set projects have been completed while others have completely stalled.
Speaking at Maua Stadium in Meru during the homecoming ceremony of celebrity gospel artist Makena Materi, Kuria noted that the Jubilee government had forgotten about Mt Kenya and all the projects were channeled to other regions.
Kuria urged fellow MPs to wake up and push for more development projects in the region. He asked them to make use of the time left before Uhuru resigned saying it may be tragic if they didn’t push now.
Kuria cited the Mombasa Multibillion water project saying Mount Kenya region had even worse water problems but the government had channeled that money to a region that had a whole ocean with water.
