Harambee stars landed in France on Friday 31st for training ahead of the AFCON. The National team is set to represent Kenya after almost 15 years of waiting. The last time Kenya qualified for AFCON was in 2004.
The team had their first training session on Saturday morning. Their Captain Victor Wanyama has however not set foot on camp as he is among those lining up for Tottenham in the Champions league final against Liverpool.
Those representing Kenya in this years AFCON are;
- Goal Keaper – Patrick Matasi, John Oyemba, Faruk Shikalo
- Midfielders: Victor Wanyama, Anthony Akumu, Ismael Gonzalez, Ayub Timbe, Francis Kahata, Ovella Ochieng, Dennis Odhiambo, Eric Johanna, Paul Were, Cliffton Miheso, Johanna Omollo
- Defenders: Abud Omar, Joash Onyango, Joseph Okumu, Musa Mohammed, David Owino, Bernard Ochieng, Brian Mandela, Philemon Otieno, Eric Ouma
- Forwards: John Avire, Masud Juma, Christopher Mbamba, Michael Olunga
